We are glad to present to you Valmatics, the first result of WSAB and Valutec collaboration. This system incorporates the long-standing experience of different drying specialists, and latest investigations in the field of woodworking. Valmatics can control most types of air exchange kilns. Up to 100 compartment kilns can be connected to the new system. Now all kilns supplied by WSValutec and Valutec will be equipped with one control system, which is undoubtedly far more comfortable for our customers.

Valmatics is user-friendly and efficient. In addition to traditional schedules, there are additional methods for drying process optimization and easy transfer from one timber dimension to another. A basic version of ValuSim simulator is integrated in all Valmatics control systems.  Drying process simulator helps the operator to choose the shortest and most efficient drying scheme for each timber dimension.

Kinnakoski Oy has ordered the new Valmatic control system for surveillance and control of the drying process in their nine compartment kilns. The delivery also comprises of the simulation program Valusim, that makes it possible to simulate the drying process prior to when it actually takes place. ValuSim can also generate drying schemes according to the wanted final results and automatically produce the input values needed to complete the drying process. Kinnakoski Oy has also ordered spraying equipment HTVVB (high pressure hot water spraying) where a special pump is used to raise the water pressure to the wanted level. Automatic control and adjustment of the valves and surveillance of the nozzles’ condition is also included.

VIDA Borgstena AB, Borås, Sweden, increases their capacity further and has decided on an investment i a new WSAB Pro TM12A in stainless steel from WSValutec. Vida Borgstena has previously invested in both compartment and progressive kilns of the same make. The newest progressive kiln was installed in 2004, at the time it was the first progressive kiln with pressure frames. Today these are almost standard equipment and naturally also the new kiln will be equipped with these. Furthermore the new automatic kiln will have heat recovery system an fans with frequency transformers.The total kiln capacity is estimated to 50 000 m³, regarding spruce in dimensions 36 and 47 mm. The total sawmill capacity will increase to 270 000 m³ at Borgstena. The new kiln will be operational by the autumn 2010.“Very pleasing that Borgstena chose us again, thank you for the renewed confidence in us”, says Aarno Tuomola, at WSValutec.
