VIDA Borgstena AB, Borås, Sweden, increases their capacity further and has decided on an investment i a new WSAB Pro TM12A in stainless steel from WSValutec. Vida Borgstena has previously invested in both compartment and progressive kilns of the same make. The newest progressive kiln was installed in 2004, at the time it was the first progressive kiln with pressure frames. Today these are almost standard equipment and naturally also the new kiln will be equipped with these. Furthermore the new automatic kiln will have heat recovery system an fans with frequency transformers.The total kiln capacity is estimated to 50 000 m3, regarding spruce in dimensions 36 and 47 mm. The total sawmill capacity will increase to 270 000 m3 at Borgstena. The new kiln will be operational by the autumn 2010.“Very pleasing that Borgstena chose us again, thank you for the renewed confidence in us”, says Aarno Tuomola, at WSValutec.
